Toward the end of winter, work began on a new football field, track and bleachers for the school. 

Demolition on the football field started in January and the new turf field was to be completed by May and the track around it by July. 

 “What they are doing right now is taking all the dirt out and all the old grass out, pipes and drains and then putting back in clean dirt, new pipes in drains, rocks, more dirt, and then the artificial turf,” Athletic Directory Mr. Joshua Vinson said in mid-February. “At the same time we are putting a new drain all the way around the track.” 

  Bleacher demolition started in March and was supposed to be finished by the time fall 2022 home games began.
