Results From the Weekend:

Varsity Football traveled to the backyard Friday Night for a game that had huge playoff implications.  Socastee fell down 20-0, then team put together a ferocious comeback.  The team forced a safety and then Qadir Scott and Trae Grant scored to make it 20-17.  Conway was then able to run out the clock and came away with the victory.

Keesee-Smoak-Lynch Players of the Night:

Trae Grant and Qadir Scott, each scored in the game against Conway and have multiple TD’s over the course of the season.

Week 8 Pools and Palms Athlete of the Week, Maddux Gifford, Men’s Volleyball.  Maddox led the Socastee Varsity Men’s Volleyball team to the Lower State Title match.  Maddox ended his senior season with 209 kills, 31 blocks, 178 digs and 39 service aces.  Maddox has selected his mom Christine Gifford as the staff member to be recognized.  Obviously, Maddox doesn’t need to give a quote about his mom as she has been his biggest fan and supporter, as well as his coach.

Braves this is an exciting week. It is our Homecoming 2.0. We will be taking on Carolina Forest this Friday at our Homecoming/Senior Night game. We have dress up days all week to include superhero day, roll with your crew and Pink Out. Our Homecoming Pep Rally and Parade are on Friday; and we can’t wait to see those floats. We also have a little something extra. At our Friday Pep Rally someone will be walking away with Pie on their Face.

Starting today we will be raising money for a cause near to all of us. Cancer is real and affects so many. So, we are asking you to help us raise some dollars to fund a fight against Cancer. We have some people in this building that we know you would love to see get a pie in the face. So, bring in that cash and let your class choose who they want to give a little pay back to. Will it be Mrs. Graves for those parking tickets? How about Mrs. Toomer for that tardy detention? Didn’t get the class you wanted, give it to Urb? Or maybe go straight to the top and let Mr. Rich have it. There will be collection jugs in the commons all week. Let’s show everyone that Braves don’t fight alone, while getting some payback.

Have a Great Day Braves!
