Juniors: Herff Jones will hold the last In-School Ring Order today, September 23 rd from 4pm- 7pm by appointment ONLY.

Socastee High School will be holding its annual Beach Sweep on Saturday morning, October 2 nd at 9:00am at Ocean Lakes Campground.  This is a great opportunity to do something to help our local environment, and to have a nice morning on the beach!

Hey Braves- Do you want to step up your cosplay game? How about making movie-quality props? Does building things with power tools interest you? Maybe you want to operate sound and lights for shows! If any of this sounds like you, come check out the “SHS Backstage Club” on Tuesday after school in the Auditorium. We will oversee building the sets, props, and costumes for all SHS productions. These valuable skills can easily turn into a career in the entertainment industry! If you have any questions, please see Mr. French in room 318.

Broadcast Club will meet after school today in Room 216.

The Socastee High School Disc Golf Club will be meeting every Monday at 3:30 out front of the school. Come join us! No experience necessary and we will provide the discs and lessons if needed. Mock Trial will meet after school today September 23. The American Red Cross will be holding a Blood Drive today, September 23 rd from 9:00am- 2:00pm in the Auxiliary Gym. Any belongings left in the Commons Conference Room need to be picked up after school by the end of this week. This includes purses, lunch boxes, bags and any other materials.

Senior Braves, Our Senior Night has been moved to this Friday’s Football game, make sure to let your escorts know. Today’s JV Football game against Loris will be postponed to Thursday, October 28 th .

Results from Last Night: The Lady Braves Golf team secured the win last night! SHS 190, Myrtle Beach 191, a new team Low. Maya Patel 46, Whitney Argabrite 47 – NEW LOW SCORE, Ava LiVigni 48, Sophia Martin 49, Mikaela Gutierrez 56 – NEW LOW SCORE, Clara Beth Brady 58, Nalani Meade 60, Kimberly Toney 60- NEW LOW SCORE. Coach Shoemaker states, “Three girls with their low score. We are getting so much better as a team. I am so proud of all of you! Keep up the hard work.”

Coach Gifford and Coach Hinson and the JV and JV2 Volleyball teams shut out Waccamaw last night, both by a score of 2-0.

Varsity Volleyball was beaten by Waccamaw last night by a score of 1-3.

Coach JW and the Varsity Women’s Tennis team made the Myrtle Beach Lady Seahawks walk the plank by a score of 5-1, great job ladies. Keesee-Smoak Player of the Night: Women’s Tennis player Cassidy Cocca won her individual match 6-0, 6-0. She only gave up 5 of 53 points in the match including 6 aces.
