~Don’t forget we are still taking donations for Toys for Tots. JROTC has put collection bins by the metal detectors for the new unwrapped toys that you are donating. You can also support Toys for Tots by purchasing a $1 raffle ticket from a member of FCA, DECA or see Coach Hudson. The raffle ticket winner will receive a $100 gift card to Walmart.

~Yearbooks are on sale now. You can purchase them from Herff Jones. You should have received an email, if not you can find the link in the Brave Nation Newsletter.

~Seniors be sure to get your Senior Supplies ordered. You can order them online. Information is in your Class of 2021 Google Classroom.

~Our Library will now be offering extended hours until 4:30 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Come by and check us out.

~The ASVAB (military entrance exam) will be given at SHS next Wednesday Dec. 10 at 8:30 am. If you are interested in taking the ASVAB, please go to the SHS Guidance webpage and sign up on the Google form provided by in the Guidance Newsletter. If you have any questions, Please, contact Ms. Renfrow in guidance.

~All FIFA and Madden gamers listen up! The Gaming Club is looking to put two teams together for FIFA 21 and Madden 21. See Coach Church in room 204 about becoming a member of these new teams.

~Art Club will meet Thursdays in room 130 and every Mondays in room 129. Anyone interested in art are welcome to join.

~Attention all performers! The Drama Club will be holding a free Acting and Musical Theatre workshop at 3:30 tomorrow, Thursday, December 3rd. The workshop will feature a few select vocal and acting pieces by the Drama Club members and will be critiqued by the Coker College theater professors. This is open to all Socastee students! You are welcome to join us in-person or virtually. For information about location and the Virtual link, join the Drama Club Google Classroom. The code is “KCGFSOJ”. If you didn’t write it down, just stop by the chorus room and check the white board. All the details are in the Google Classroom. Hope to see you on December 3rd.

~Join us December 12th in Braves Stadium for our 1st ever Outdoor Holiday Concert. Your very own Socastee Show Choir, Braves Band, Braves Visual Arts program and the Bravettes will be performing along with students from the fine arts programs at our feeder schools. The show starts at 7pm and we promise you don’t want to miss it. Tickets are on sale now.

~Our SHS Athletics Department is seeking a new “Voice of the Basketball Braves” this season.  We are opening up the opportunity to all students.  You will be announcing the varsity girls and boys home basketball games from 5:30pm to approximately 9pm.  The interested students would need to let Coach McManus or any athletic staff member at SHS know by this Thursday.


~All Varsity Boys soccer players that played last year. Please meet with Coach Miller after school today on the home side of the stadium.


~Anyone interested in Men’s Golf be sure to complete the form in the Brave Nation Newsletter for Coach Hutchinson.


~Braves Baseball Weightlifting and Conditioning begins today at 3:50pm. Conditioning days will be Mondays and Thursdays from 3:50 until 4:40. You will meet in the Training Room for your Health Screening. Please have all of your Physical and Participation forms completed and approved on PlanetHS. See Coach Hudson if you have any questions.


~Ladies Lacrosse conditioning starts this week. Be sure to have your physical and participation forms completed on PlanetHS. Any Ladies interested should go to room 107 and see Coach Campbell to get the code to Google Classroom for

the calendar.


~Anyone interested in Men’s Lacrosse, please see Coach Fox in room 225 to get the Google Classroom Code for the Calendar.  Weightlifting and Conditioning begins Tuesday, December 8th at 3:45.  You must have all forms completed in Planet HS to participate.  Meet at the Training Room for your health Screening before weightlifting.  Contact Coach Fox for any questions.


~Next Week will start our Month of Holiday Celebration. Each week will have a different Holiday Theme. We hope that you will all participate and dress up. Kicking off our Holiday Theme next week will be Holiday Character and Neck Wear. So, pull out your Most Spirited Holiday Scarf and find your elf ears. Let’s see who has the most Holiday Spirit.
