A new Apple computer lab opened on the first floor this quarter for Mrs. Kelly Lewis’ business and marketing students.

The lab was paid for by a special grant for Career and Technical Education programs. It contains multiple large screen iMac computers, along with brand new computer tables and professional task chairs.

“We are thankful to [Principal] Mr. Rich, [CTE Teacher] Mr. Ricketts, and Horry County Schools for helping us get the lab updated and for supporting our business and marketing programs here at Socastee High,” Mrs. Lewis said.

Right now, the computers are being used for Mrs. Lewis’ Marketing class. Next year, the lab will be used for a new Image Editing course at Socastee.

“Students that take this class will get the opportunity to work with Adobe Photoshop and learn all sorts of photo editing techniques and enhancements,” Mrs. Lewis said.
