The NASCAR Xfinity Series season opener at Daytona is the official start to the NASCAR Xfinity season. The Gibbs boy, Ty Gibbs (No. 54 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Supra) has the first and only practice for the Xfinity Series. The Defending Champion Daniel Hemric (No. 11 Kaulig Racing Cheverlet Camaro) has won the pole for the race.

Cars to the rear: No. 1 JR Motorsports Cheverlet Camaro of Sam Mayer, Ryan Truex’s No. 26 Sam Hunt Racing Toyota Supra, and Shane Lee’s No. 35 Elmerling-Gase Motorsports Toyota Supra.

Lap 1: Daniel Hemric leads the field to the green. Anthony Alfredo’s Our Motorsports No. 23 passenger window flies off the car.

Lap 3: Anthony Alfredo is penalized and black flagged for not coming to pit road and not fixing the passenger window. Daniel Hemric and Austin Hill’s N0. 21 trade the lead with side drafts.

Laps 4-7: Daniel Hemric and Austin Hill trade the lead. Austin Hill takes the lead on Lap 7 and clears Daniel Hemric.

Lap 11: Daniel Hemric retakes the lead.

Lap 14: The No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Supra is spun and hits the No. 51 Jeremy Clements Racing Cheverlet Camaro driven by Jeremy Clements. Sam Mayer after coming from the back and spun off the back end of another car. Caution comes out.  Both cars retire to the garage.

Lap 15: Cars outside the top fifteen come to pit road.

Lap 19: Daniel Hemric leads the field back to the green.

Lap 29: Pit road is closed 2 laps to go before the end of Stage 1.

Lap 30: Daniel Hemric wins Stage 1 over his fellow Kaulig Racing teammate, A.J. Allmendinger in the No. 16 Cheverlet Camaro. Caution comes out once Sam Mayer crossed the line. Sam Mayer is 10th. Top ten get stage points.

Laps 33-34: Pit road opens. Cars come on to pit road for fuel, 0-4 tires, and adjustments. Brandon Brown’s No. 68 Brandonbilt Motorsports wins the race off of pit road. The No. 9 Jr Motorsports recieves a sppeding penalty.

Lap 37: Joe Graf Jr racing the No. 07 for SS-Green Light Racing leads the field back to green after going a lap down. Brandon Brown takes the lead on the high line.

Lap 44: Daniel Hemric breaks into the top 10.

Lap 49: Noah Gragson takes the lead.

Lap 59: Pit road is closed with  two laps to go before the end of Stage 2.

Lap 60: Daniel Hemric takes the lead after almost spining out Noah Gragson. Daniel Hemric sweeps the stages.

Mid race report: 3 cars are out of the race and Daniel Hemric has the most stage points and the most playoff points. Jeffery Earnhardt is to get the free pass on this most recent caution. There have been 6 lead changes among 5 different drivers.

Laps 63-64: Pit road is open. Daniel Hemric took 2 tires and won the race off pit road.  Mostly everybody took 2 tires. Uncontrolled tire is on pit road.

Lap 67: Daniel Hemric leads the race back to green.

Lap 74: Kaulig cars come to pit road and gass and go. The No. 10 of Landon Cassill is owned by Kaulig.

Lap 75: Sam Mayer spins onto pit road and takes four fresh tires. Cheverlet temas also came for fuel.

Lap 76:  Most of the feild comes to pit road for fuel. Some contact among drivers.

Lap 77: 5 Chevelet Camaros gas and go on pit road. Jesse Iwuji for Jesse Iwuji Motorsports recieves a speeding penalty.

Lap 78: Josh Bilicki leads for DGM Racing in the No. 36.

Lap 84: Caution comes out for debris of Sam Mayer which fell off of Turn 4.

Lap 87: Cars come on to pit road. Most take 4 tires and repair damage from bump drafting. Austin Hill stays out and takes the lead under yellow. Daniel Hemric was caught speeding and payed the penalty. Jeffery Earhardt racing the No. 26 for Sam Hunt Racing got an uncontrolled tire penalty.

Lap 89: Austin Hill leads the field back to green.

Lap 90: NASCAR reviews the restart for any restart violations.

Lap 91: The big one happens after a car got loose off Turn 4 and collected 5-6 cars in the tri-oval. (Replay of the wreck will be in the link below the article). Daniel Hemric suffers damage to the rear and the right front of the car.

Lap 97: Austin Hill leads them to the green. A.J Allmendinger takes the lead coming into Turn 3.

Lap 98: Ausin Hill and A.J. Allmendinger trade the lead.

Lap 99: A.J. Allmendinger clears Austin Hill and blocks both lines.

Lap 101-2: A.J Allmendinger and Austin Hill trade positions for the lead. Austin Hill takes the lead.

Lap 105: Austin Hill and A.J Allmendinger trade the lead.

Lap 106: A.J Allmendinger to the lead once again.

Lap 107: The bottom line has fallen mid pack led by the No. 7 of Justin Allgaier who now comes to the top line for Jr Motorsports.

Lap 111: Daniel Hemric’s heart rate: 138-139 beats per minute.

Lap 114: Bottom lines starts to form up.

Lap 116: Bottom line advances led by Justin Allgaier.

Lap 117: Noah Gragson leads the bottom line. A.J Allmendinger blocks both lines. Noah Gragson and A.J. Allmendinger trade the lead.

Lap 118: AJ Allmendinger retakes the lead.

Lap 119: Race is official. A.J. Allmendinger leads.

Lap 120: Austin Hill takes the lead. The 2nd big one happens. Myatt Snider takes a scary and fiery flip into the catchfence. Austin Hill wins the race. Everyone walked away.
