Merritt Welch, Staff Writer
Merritt Welch is a senior. She was a part of the Yearbook in her 8th grade year at Forestbrook Middle School. She joined yearbook and thenativevoice.net this year because she likes to be able to highlight people who sometimes go unnoticed in high school, which she sees as even more important this year as only have half the students are in the school each day. She is currently serving as Miss Socastee High School Teen and will be competing at Miss South Carolina Teen (MAO) in June 2021. She plans to go to either The University of Mississippi or The University of South Carolina next year and would like to cheer at either school. She is a Varsity cheerleader here at Socastee and eats, sleeps, and breathes cheer.
