– Anyone interested in Spring Basketball, workouts begin TODAY at 3:30pm-430 in the Main Gym Schedules will be given out at that time. Please make sure you have physical updated.
-Lady Braves Basketball workouts for April begin TODAY from 5:30-6:30 in the main gym at Socastee High School. Must have all paperwork approved on BigTeams. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Campbell in room 307 or at hcampbell@horrycountyschools. net
– Attention Wrestling Braves! Open season wrestling practice begins TODAY! If you’re not currently playing a spring sport, it is highly encouraged that you attend. This is a great opportunity to improve your skills, get stronger, and prepare for the next season.
-Anyone interested in trying out for cheerleading next year will need to attend a mandatory parent meeting TODAY at 6pm in the Socastee High School main gym. This is open to all CURRENT 6th-11th grade students. We will review the tryout process and make sure you have all necessary paperwork to begin tryouts for the 2025-2026 season on May 1st, 2nd and 5th. -Conway Medical Center is offering FREE sports physicals for all Socastee area athletes this Saturday April 5 starting at 8:00am until 10:00am. Please pick up a Consent & demographic form from the athletic office or training room. Form must be completed before getting the physical.
-Leadership will be hosting a Blood Drive with Red Cross on Wednesday April 9th. You can sign up during your lunch or see Coach Hudson in room 333. You must be 16 with parent’s permission and provide an ID along with height and weight requirements. Consider saving a live and donate.
– Chick-fil-A Leader Academy is collecting canned food for Helping Hands.
For every 100 cans collected in your 3rd block class, we will provide a tray of chicken nuggets. We will be collecting cans until Friday, April 11th.
-Tidelands Health is offering $1,000 scholarships to four graduating seniors planning to pursue a degree in Health Science or a related field in the Fall of 2025. You must apply for the scholarship by April 14th. If you are interested, please scan the QR code on the Tidelands Health flyers located throughout the building or stop by Mrs. Frazier’s office for more information.
– April is Cancer Control Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness for cancer prevention, early detection, and providing support for patients and survivors. Mrs. Gorcesky FACS class invites you to purchase any baked good for $1 each. This fundraiser will take place April 16th afterschool located by the Athletic End, Commons, and Bus End. All proceeds will go to the Hampton family. Items for sale are brownies, cake pops, banana bread, brookies, whoopie pies, and cookies!
– Juniors and Seniors please go to your class Google Classroom to nominate your Prom King and Queen. We are also taking Song Requests!!
-Student Council would like to invite you to the Prom “A Night at the Masquerade” on Thursday, April 17th, at Conference Center at Barefoot Landing. Tickets are on sale now so get your tickets today! Guest Forms are to be completed on a Google Form that is in your “Class of” Google Classroom. You can pick up early release forms for prom from the student services desk in the commons.
-Bravette tryouts will be May 13th-15th 3:30 until 5:30 in the Aux Gym. Please see Coach Harper if you have any questions
– If you have purchased a parking sticker please come during your lunch with your drivers license to pick up. If you have not purchased a parking sticker please do so on my payments plus ASAP to avoid receiving a parking ticket! See Mrs. Tucci in the main office if you have any questions. ALL students MUST have a parking sticker in order to park in the student parking lot.
– Xander says Mrs. Welch has been writing parking tickets so get your decal or get your ticket.
